Our Mission and Values
Dr. Weiss Dentistry was founded by Dr. Thomas G. Weiss, DMD, with a genuine desire to help people feel more comfortable with their dental care and more confident in their smile.
Our mission is to provide quality, comprehensive dental care to every patient we see.
That means taking the time to listen, explaining what is going on in a way that is easy to understand, and recommending care based on what is truly needed, not what is unnecessary. We also emphasize preventive care to help avoid more complex treatment over time.
Our core values guide everything we do.
Integrity means honest recommendations and clear, straightforward communication.
Quality means care that is done carefully, correctly, and with attention to detail at every step.
Over the years, we have become known throughout Cockeysville and the surrounding Baltimore County communities for dependable, high-quality dental care and a consistent, relationship-focused approach.
Many of our patients have been coming to us for years, and it is common for us to care for multiple generations within the same family.

Meet Dr. Thomas G. Weiss, DMD
Dr. Thomas G. Weiss has been practicing dentistry for over 40 years and holds Maryland dental license #10869. His interest in dentistry started with a simple reason. He enjoys helping people and making a difference in their daily lives.
He received his graduate training at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and, after graduating, was selected to serve as a clinical instructor at the dental school.
For more than 25 years, Dr. Weiss has provided comprehensive dental care to patients in Cockeysville, Hunt Valley, Timonium, and surrounding areas. He also serves as the Dental Director at both the Maryland Masonic Homes and Edenwald Retirement Community.
Dr. Weiss takes pride in his work, especially when it comes to esthetic treatments that improve both self-image and dental health. His commitment to continuing education allows him to stay current with modern techniques and materials, so patients receive care that reflects today’s standards.
Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his family and staying active through hiking, running, and photography. He also has a passion for gardening, which many patients notice through the plants he personally cares for in the office.

Meet Dr. Wendy Burstein, DDS, Periodontist
Dr. Wendy Burstein is our on-staff periodontist, providing specialized care focused on gum health and the supporting structures of the teeth. She is licensed to practice dentistry in Maryland under license #820533.
She earned her undergraduate degree in Speech and Hearing Science from George Washington University before continuing her education at the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2001. She uses advanced technology, including CBCT imaging and digital radiography, to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Having a periodontist in the office allows us to provide a higher level of care while keeping treatment coordinated in one familiar place.
She stays current with continuing education requirements for her Maryland dental license and regularly attends the American Academy of Periodontology annual meeting. She is also affiliated with the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Board of Periodontology, the Maryland State Dental Association, and the Baltimore County Dental Association.

Her background helps the team maintain a smooth, organized office while continuing to build strong relationships with patients, staff, Dr. Weiss, and Dr. Burstein. She has been a trusted part of the practice for many years and remains an important resource for both the team and the patients she has come to know.
Donna believes family is one of the most important parts of life, and that mindset carries into how she treats the people who walk through our doors.

Nichole has a natural ability to connect with people. She often helps patients feel more relaxed and at ease by bringing humor and warmth into conversations, especially for those who may be nervous about their visit.
Before entering dentistry, she worked in cake decorating and was largely self-taught in her dental career, which she takes great pride in.
Outside the office, she is a wife, a mother of four, and a grandmother of two. She enjoys drawing, dancing, spending time with her kids, and relaxing with a blanket and a Hallmark movie. She also raises chickens and hopes to have horses and goats one day.

In addition to clinical care, she strives to partner with patients to help them reach their specific dental goals. She also enjoys celebrating those wins along the way.
“You are now flossing once a day? Bring out the champagne!”
She lives in Pikesville, Maryland with her husband and children. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, working with other women in her community to create beautiful events, and cooking traditional Persian dishes like kabob and dill rice.
